I think I got water in it.
When I press the power button, the fans just spin and die kinda like short circuiting. Everything's connected right (graphics card, power sw, leds, memory, fans, cpu, power supply > motherboard, pluged in, switched on, blah) and i blow-dryed it to make sure there was no water/stuff. I know the motherboard is not touching the case and is mounted correctly...
It magically turned on when my brother pressed the switch and there was a disk check. Vista crashed later and gave me some blue screens and now its just dead.
Help?

Your power supply is activating auto shutdown because it is sensing an over load on one of the power rails.

Check the processor heatsink. If not properly mounted, it might touch something in the voltage regulator area.

Try running the PC w/ bare minimum devices. That means detached HDD, ODD, FDD and perhaps just 1 memstick. You should at least see the opening screen and get to BIOS. If it is still a black screen and before I conclude a motherboard problem, I usually unplug the videocard and stick in my testing card, a 2Mb PCI graphics card. If nothing happens, then the board could be defective.

Don't qoute me on this but i think your SOL. First heat(next to water any liquid) is a computers worst enemy. I'm not too sure about my next sugestion but you may be able to format your hard drive and reinstall your OS. If you didn't get a disc from the store where you bought the PC then ask for a copy and they will send it to you. If that fails, talk to the tech support. Actually why dont you call the Tech support first. They are usually open 24/7. I am assuming it is still under warrenty if it had Vista pre-installed. oh and try resetting your system. take out the CMOS (small watch-like) battery for a few minutes, memory and replace it in the original spot.

Just give the motherboard a gentle tap and turn on the computer. I had the same symptoms as yours, but I am using Windows XP Professional. When I pressed the ON button nothing appeared on the monitor and everything else is functioning including the exhaust fan. I just gave a few gentle taps to the side of the casing and it turned on.

If it is just water, let it dry for a week or so before powering up. Give the water plenty of time to evaporate. If it was soda, it is time to buy a new computer. If you still have trouble, it could be any component that is causing the problem. I would test the power supply first, RAM second. After that, it is anybody's guess.

i assume you have pushed abode each and every of the leads interior and you will hear the stress clunking away as no count if it is attempting to load. On turn on in case you are not getting a beep then the pc is failing the placed up degree (self examine it runs on turn on). Pull out the pics card and sound card and turn on, if it beeps its a variety of enjoying cards and because you have replaced the pics it is going to in all hazard be the audio card. If it has beeped turn off placed returned the pics and ability up. that should paintings yet no sound. If pulling out the two does no longer something pass away them out and likewise pull out the ram (all of it) turn on and you need to get continuos beeps in case you dont its the mummy board or cpu or the two. in case you do put in a million stick of Ram (if there is in elementary terms one pinch one from someplace to objective) With one in and the different enjoying cards returned in see what occurs. If no longer something then you certainly are right down to CPU and or mom Board which extremely because of the fact of fee is a clean device. desire this helps.
