It depends, I guess.
For instance, I have answered nearly 5,700 questions but asked just barely more than 100.
Moreover, I think the quality of my answers far outpaces the quality of my questions.
So I'd hope that people might form their impressions of me based on my answers.

On the other hand, there are some who ask really great questions that reveal elements of their intelligence and character.

Morons and jackholes, on the other hand, can be counted upon to be pretty consistent about it, if you know what I mean.........

Aeryn Sun. Farscape is my favorite Sci Fi of all time. B5 would be No. 2.
?'s are generally more revealing. It is so easy to pretend on here though. I could be Rygel the XVI, or just visiting from Narnia.
?'s cost a little more and require more responsibility-which is a big load for some on here. Some answers are so obviously sycophantic. People just trying to win 10 points at the expense of any honor they might have.
I'm going to do a poll of favorite Sci Fi's sometime soon.

I don't know which would tell the most. I would think it would be about an even split. I can definitely tell a bunch by the questions some people ask. Some ask questions strictly about their personal self's and you can tell all they think about is themselves. I'm referring to things such as: their looks, their hair, their names, that sort of stuff...very me-me-me like. To me that is an indication of how youth. ..act like. Then there are the ones who only refer to sex questions. The ones I like are the people who have sense of humors. I love those but the problem for me, is I am naive and I don't ever have a quick come-back for good answers but these people seem to have good natures, in my opinion. The people who answer usually answer in short one liner answers, but most of them answer well. I am not one of them, though, as you can see. :o) Good Luck with what you are seeking with this question, in any case.

In all truth, you must review both the Questions and the Answers in order to tell more about a person.

. But, since some people do not "ask" questions, then reviewing the answers is the only option.

I can tell more about someone by their questions definitely. The way they are asked, they just feel more authentic to the individual. Sometimes, we answer and in our answers, there is sarcasm or else. Questions seem to come more from a real place. They seem more rooted for some reason.

Sometimes I have to work really hard to remember not to jump to conclusions about people based on a single question or answer. But sometimes it is really hard since some questions and answers seem so ignorant.

I think in most cases you learn more from questions, depending on how they are worded. But you can learn about a person's hot buttons from their answers.

For me, personally, people can see both my humor and my thoughts in every question. Admittedly, most are silly but it definitely goes in a straight line (believe it or not lol) and now and then.. they get a little serious.

My answers, although not as frequent as the questions, are just as telling if not more.

I'm starting to think that it has to be a combination of both...taken together, if someone were to really look through another person's questions and answers and the times that they were given or made, one would get the clearest picture of another user...that is if the user is being truthful...

Yes indeed you can!

The answers a person gives may often depend on their mood... what is happening at the time inside their personal life... since positive answers reflect a positive attitude and likely a fairly level time within their lives.

Negative answers will not always mean the person is negative by nature... it could well be that they are experiencing a seriously bad time within their lives and so... the world seems bleaker and their answers may well reflect this.

Some people can rise above the need to make every one else feel as bad as they do... and have matured enough to be able to take their bad times in their stride and still be open to the good in other lives... and be positive for them.

Their questions though... they reveal a great deal more about a person... as do the answers that they choose as best... it is only human to want others to agree with our way of thinking... but it takes serious maturity to turn the tables on ourselves and choose an answer that may not sit well within our psyche... but which... if we are truthful with ourselves... is right! I do like those kkind of people... people who can say they got it wrong... or accept a leg pull (joke) at their expense... or who can see another side to their own point of view... because it was put well... and even though they may not like it... choose it as the best all round answer.

That for me... shows maturity emotionally and mentally.

I always check someones profile and their answers to questions... but their questions are my main deciding factor if they want to link to me in here... I will link only if I am absolutely sure by these... that they are level... mature... and not into any kind of personal agenda of their own (racist/sexist/God bashing) within these questions.

As a writer... I can play with words and make them do anything I choose... but I well know... the way I put them down and the subjects that I choose to answer... and questions that I ask... speak volumes about the kind of writer... person... that I am.

It is the same for al of us.

Body language... facial expressions... eye contact/or not... speak much about the people we are with... in here... their are decided ways of making sure we know who we are dealing with... after nine years online... I'm fortunate enough to be able to pick and choose what and whom I answer because within a moment of hitting on their profile... I can tell if they are genuine.

Good question... had to answer and star it... sorry can't edit... as ever... spell check not working... only passing through briefly... gotta log off.

Have a good day:-)

When I want to find out more about a person, I could read their Answers, but the best and quickest way I think and do.. is to read their questions and who they picked as best answer and their comments there!*
