There are some things you can do without getting expensive activity monitoring software, depending on how computer savvy the boyfriend is. For internet usage, you can look at the Temporary Internet files. This will have a number of "cookies" stored in it. Most internet sites send a cookie to a computer that has attached to it in order to track returning customers and their preferences. To view these,

In Internet Explorer, on the Tools menu, click Internet Options.
On the General tab, click Settings, and then click View files.

If you need more, you will want activity monitoring software - such as a keylogger. A keylogger runs hidden in the background and automatically records all keystrokes (including Alt, Ctrl and other functional buttons). Usually the interface can be password protected and the log files are encrypted. I've attached a web site of a decent free version.

First she needs to change boyfriends.. her concern is a trust issue not a computer one. That doesn't lead to a healthy relationship period. Nor will spying help the real problem.

Get a parental control software. It will show what sites he has been to and may even record what he has typed.
