Dear Alicia,
i think considering that it's a semi-depleted center league, the Lakers could survive without one. However, they do need a low post presence and Kwame can not do it often enough and Bynum is still a few seasons away from being consistent (though he has shown flashes of brilliance). It would be nice to also acquire a post player who has range from the 15-18 foot range, so someone like a Garnett or J. O'Neal would fit that role well especially in the triangle offense.
i think that they have to trade one (if not both of Kwame and Bynum) and possibly even Lamar too. They can put Lamar in the post more as well. Out of the three games mentioned: Kwame, Bynum, and Lamar they could probably keep one of them to develop or be a complimentary role player (ie: Kwame just play defense and grab boards), Bynum as a project, or Lamar as a 2nd/3rd fiddle guy- but without the pressure to be a consistent 2nd scorer.
Go Lakers!

Definitly need a force inside, Kwame just doesnt cut it. I think a combination of a good power forward like Kevin Garnett and a mediocre center would work best. Would be nice to have a Yao or Howard in there but i think the best option is Garnett
