If you cut a magnet in half, it will lead to the generation of two magnets, both having a north and south pole.

Yes, the central portion will develop a north pole and south pole when cut. Thus we will have two smaller magnets.

You will have two magnets, each with a north and south pole.

when you cut a magnet it automatically makes two new poles at the cutting point.i'm not sure however if the magnet will be as strong because when a magnet is dropped or is introduced to alot of vibrations the magnet loses power. it loses its stregnth because the atoms are aligned in a uniform pattern and when dropped the atoms misalign which makes it weaker.

if you cut a magnet in half, you are left with 2 magnets, both having a north and south pole. however, the new magnet will not be as strong as the original, because it looses half its magnetic power. this will repeat if you keep halving it, like a loaf of bread (it gets thinner and thinner the more you half it). once you have halved a magnet, you can t re-join it.

When the magnet is cut into half's then it will create two magnets of same pole and which will result in repulsion.
