I noticed my lap top´s monitor heating up a bit too much but it´s not all of it , just the part where the windows task bar is, i wonder why this happens and if it is normal. It´s so hot that it burns when you touch it. What do I do, could it be dangerous or get damaged?.

That's where the connection is at. Its normal for electronics in compacted space for heat to build up. Just make sure the fan is working. If you run your finger over where the power or the USB(plugged) connections are at, they too will be hot to the touch. Graphic intensive Apps like games will make the area hotter and thus the fan will come on.

Too hot to touch is bad. Laptops get hot sometimes, but exessive heat is caused by a mechanical failure. I would highly recommend contacting the seller or the manufacturer and have the replace something. Not knowing your laptop, I would guess there's either a battery or hard drive problem, or a fan has stopped working.

Keep the area around the laptop clear.

Unlike most cooling pads, the $24.95 Xpad doesn't use USB-powered fans. Its main trick is that the raised X allows the battery to have enough clearance to vent allow airflow, while the rubberized surface grips the laptop's feet. Thirteen inches wide and less than an inch thick, the 1-lb. Xpad looks like it would accommodate most laptops and is easy to pick up and take along.

If your monitor in general is heating up so much, it is definitely not a good thing! Take it to a place where they can check it out! And try not to use your laptop so much before you get it checked out! You don't want to burn things onto your monitor so that it'll stay there forever.
