so I have a laptop with an onboard sound card, its got a conexant HD Audio output driver. Anyway its not playing sound and I cant figure out why, I have looked everywhere Please help, btw my computer is a Toshiba Satellite laptop

and I have the most up to date driver installed for it

Sounds like a driver issue. Try www.driveragent.com, it will scan your computer for hardware that is attached to laptop and will offer the driver available for download.

You may have uninstalled or deleted the driver. Or you may have reinstalled Windows but did not reinstall the drivers. This site might be of help.
