Are they both so caught up in politics that they are out of touch with the real world, and the people that they were elected to represent?

I'm not sure it would be much better. A 3rd party would probably hang their hat on a specific issue and not see the bigger picture.

as a conservative, i would have to agree with you. i see these liberals on the left and they make me sick with all their rhetoric. but the right is full of dopes too... hopefully fred thompson decides to run...
