It would really help if you put some of the shows you usually watch but whatever... I personally would go with The Office, Scrubs, My Name is Earl, CSI: Miami. Just to name a few.

I'm watching the First 48. It's a real show that depicts how homicide detectives solve murders. Then I'm going to watch Human Giant because it's just plain funny.

Supernatural. The show is totally original, intelligent, and the writing and acting are great. Give it a try with the summer reruns.

honestly i have to say i still love the older tv shows, the newer shows this day and time are not worth crap, at least the older ones had some family value meaning

The only three shows I watch regularly are "Lost," "The Sopranos," and "The Office." (My family forces me to watch "American Idol," but I'm not proud about this).
