I get alot of negativity although I'm a great player, people always criticize me and talk about my game, sometimes I feed of of that and I get discouraged.
I can have the greatest game but I always get something negative from someone.

One great rule of criticism that i've learned is only accept criticism from those who have something to gain from it.
i think its always important to take criticism with a grain of salt. What are some of the negative things being said-- i've played with guys who are good players but terrible teammates (ball-hogs). One thing that i think separates a good ball player from a great player- is that a great ball player is always looking and trying to find ways to improve his game. So ithink that you have to be willing to accept that sometimes the criticism can be legit at which point you turn it into a positive by working on that aspect of your game. Or sometimes when you know its not legit you just got to block it out and do your thing.
As we both know in basketball confidence can really affect our play. If you are a good baller then find ways to improve and become great not only in your eyes- but with your teammates. i think when you play the game right-- people love playing with you.
i know there are days when i have an off-shooting night and i'll focus on playing good one-on-one and help defense and that helps my team. Or i will drive and kick for assists. i think for me no matter how thoroughly we can destroy a team i always analyze a game and try to find things that i can do better the next time.

That's part of being good. People are jealous. Stick with it. Every great player goes through a lot of adversity. Take it out in the gym and keep practicing. People only drag you down when you are at level 7, once you get to level 8 or 9 they all turn around and start kissing your %ss.
