So, this friend of mine was in a bar last night... one of his friends was "targeted" and beaten badly.... admittedly everyone was intoxicated. But... when my friend saw that his buddy was on the floor unconcious, he went to his aid and was apparently asked 3x by the cops to move out of paramedics way .. which he said he complied to. But, one "power hungry" officer decided that my friend had too much of a big mouth on him, cuffed him so tight that the cuffs tore into his wrists, and drove him to Headquarters... on many requests from my friend asking to please release the cuffs a tad as they were cutting into him.... my friend has an accent, and with that being said, when my friend asked if his cuffs could be released slightly, this "power hungry " peace office jeered and mocked my friend of his accent and said basically cry me a river...
well this power hungry peace officer then proceeded to (whilst my friend was still cuffed) take him (in headquarters) into a room, and hit him

still being cuffed, he was knee gutted, chain yanked off his neck, belt ripped off jeans, and then when my friend said, "good that there are cameras around", the peace office jeered my friend saying... "well m/f this aint no cell and it don't have any cameras .. good luck suing me"

when my friends mother was called to let her know that her son was "in an altercation in a bar" and when asked, "is he hurt" .. the reply was.. just a slight cut to the nose... she was being not told the truth that there was no altercation in the bar, but the cop assaulted my friend

Just to sum this up and for the person that said that because my friend had a hot mouth... this is for you
The asiding officer that committed this "crime" was snitched by a fellow colleague... his name and number were also given... you know why? it's because of these "power hungry" "enforcers" that need to be showered .. (use of a better word)...
and yes, my friend does have every right to sue the "City"... what does he have to loose? He was apparently jeered for not having a job and being 25 "you are still living with daddy and mommy"....
I will be there by my friends' side...

conclusion of all this , is that this cop that was power hungry was snitched by his own collegues.... they took pictures and recording of his ractial injustice... his name is Pxxu and his number is .... xyz... well ... do you think that just becaue you are have a badge take in the justice and be the judge and still get away with it... case closed...

Oddly enough, many people think that all officers are good, but they aren't. Its too bad that your friend had to suffer at the hands of someone as you described.

Perhaps your friend can obtain an attorney and sue with the aid of a doctor's examination. I hope you have taken pictures and remember all the witnesses there at the time.

The only effort to change such behavior; is by suing and having the officer discharged; not demoted or placed on administration leave.

Seems like a lot of conjecture in reference to this friend. If Porsche was present during all this, I could buy a little more of it. I have seen alot of guys whose mouth wrote checks their body couldn't cash.

I would guess he got whipped in the bar fight. Then, since drunks generally overreact to a friends injury, was trying to save his friends life. Problem s, he was doing the opposite by not getting out of the way for Paras.

This is a very common thing in a bar fight. Almost all the drunks end up hugging each of their buddies saying " I love ya like a brother , man"

When videos are available of this behavior, the arrested person quietly pleads guilty. Wrongfull arrest is a legal term that most people like to toss around. Lotta street lawyers here.

Cuffs being tight has been a complaint that I've been aware of for about 30 years. Struggling can tighten those cuffs. Or, if they are not double locked, sitting with hands behind the back can close them down more.

I am sure the paramedics will be in court as witnesses also.

Basically, someone got his azz whupped in a bar fight, hates the cops and gave them a hard time by " Saving" his buddy, hindered the paramedics, got arrested for obstructing the duties of an officer, and whines about it all.

Anyone can sue, but it doesn't guarantee a win.

First and foremost...were there to witness all of this? No, you weren't. So, you have no idea if your friend is telling the truth or embelshing the story. I believe the cuffs were to tight and that the cop may have made fun of him. Cuffs weren't designed for comfort.

As for the rest, I don't know and neither do you. If those accusations are true, then the cop needs to be disciplined or even arrested.

Why does this incident mean a cop was "power hungry"? If it happened how you described, it sounds like your friend pissed him off and that the cop doesn't know how to handle his anger.

If it's true, I'm not justifying it. But, you weren't there so you don't know.

Has he been charged with a criminal offence??? - He can sue the Police for wrongful arest and false imprisonment and for assault and battery on his person. He sues - not the Police Officer concerned - but the appropriate Police Force. If he claims a sufficient amount of damages - the Police Force will need to investigate which officer it was that arrested your friend - but that may also be apparent from the arrest sheet held at the Station. Q.E.D. the Officer can be identified. Once identified - your friend may then sue the appropriate officer - personally.

Now see what you've done?! You've made me agree with censored and I didn't want that to happen! It's all hearsay, honey. You weren't there and I'm sure the "power-hungry" police will have a different story. Perhaps your "friend" should stop putting himself in positions that get him in trouble.

Were you there to say what really happened or are you simply taking the word of a drunken friend who feels aggrieved?

If your friend is in the right why are you posting this and not your friend?

Your friend was asked to move out of the way of the paramedics, why did the friend have to be asked, anyone in their right mind would have moved without being told to?

Me thinks there is more to this than you know or say.

End result in this case is a dead end lawsuit.

You're going to have the word of your intoxicated friend claiming he was completely innocent and was assaulted by a Police Officer.

From your count of events, he had to be told 3 times to get out of the way of paramedics/emts, and he was intoxicated.

The "victim" is always going to exaggerate events:
"I was minding my own business and got beat"
"The handcuffs were digging into my bone"
etc

There isn't a judge out there that is going to believe the story as told above, even if it were 100% accurate, which I'd wager isn't so.

Your friend wasnt assualted, he was arrested. And for good reason too. Sounds like not once did he listen to any of the authority figures.

Should we list all the things your friend did wrong? Got drunk, began fighting, ignored requests to move by the police and by paramedics, lipped off to the police, and then tried to complain to the police about them doing thier job.

And frankly, I doubt he got beat, I suspect he just got beat during his fight and doesnt want to admit it.

For reference I included a link on the proper use of quotation marks.

So your drunk friend was interferring with the paramedics saving another friend's life and he doesn't like it!

I think I will side with the police on this one!
