This is not directed at you, but I am sick of all this concern about Ms. Hilton! She was caught drinking and driving and plea bargained so that she would get probation. She completely blew off what she was supposed to do as terms of her probation (including not driving) so she was arrested again.
The judge could have given her 1 year in jail for this but only gave her 45 days. If it was you or I there would be no question and we would be in jail right now!
Ms. Hilton has no right to expect preferential treatment under the law just because she is rich and some people consider her pretty.

I completely agree. How can our laws be considered just when they are not applied evenly to society. Just because she is a spoiled rich girl does not give her the right to get behind the wheel of a potential murder weapon and drive. Partying seems to be the in thing now days and if they let her off think of all the teenagers that idolize her and will believe that if she can drink and drive so will they. The law says one thing, but it always depends on interpretation. The message they are sending is don't do anything wrong unless you have the money for a good lawyer. If you do then it is okay to completely disregard the laws that are put in place for protection.

Throw her under the prison. She can call her personal chauffeur and have him pick her up anytime she needs to so there is no excuse for her behavior. Rip her license away permanently and make her take public transit for the rest of her life. If it was anyone else they might get a year or more in prison for drunk driving. 45 days in a Martha steward designed cell gosh what a punishment-not. Everyone should be treated equally, but when has that ever happened-Really?

Ms. Paris thumbed her nose at the law...she deserves to be punished for her offenses as anybody would be. If it were you and I and we only got a swat on the hand, that's what she should get...if we get time in the pokey, so should she!
I don't believe that anybody should be used as an example, but I do believe that as a celebrity she should be held to a higher standard because of the people that look up at her.

I think she should be punished, I am sick of these celebrities thinking they are above the law, they are always getting away with their crimes, even murder, and i think it is time that real justice is served.
I think it is stupid that Paris Hilton tried to say she didnt know her license wasn't valid. That's some straight bs, she knew when she got tickets, so she knew what was up, I'm sure she had to get her license the same way everybody else does, so why wouldn't she know about what happens if u dont pay your fines and tickets.
Oh and that garbage she spit to the judge about how she is going to pay attention to everything now, uh...duh dummy u should have been paying attention, you are twenty something years old, she should go to jail just for saying that bulls... Us regular folks just cant walk around saying, oh NOW i'm gonna pay attention, and its like 26 years later... man forget that
Punish her, put her in jail, do what ever needs to be done, it's already unfair if she does go to jail for real because she is going to be isolated, i say out her butt out there with the rest of the inmates.
She could have killed somebody out ther driving drunk, what is mommy gonna say once she kills someone with that driving drunk of hers?

Actually if you check the news right now Paris is accepting responsibility for her actions. She now says that she does not think she is above the law, but doesn't want to be treated any worse either. I was rather surprised by this turn of events. Maybe (and its a big maybe) one day she will realize that there is more to life than partying and pushing the limits of the law. I hope one day if she grows up that she will be a more productive citizen and a philanthropist with the great amount of resources she has. Other Hollywood types have maybe she will too.

I feel she should face her punishment like anyone else would. she already thinks that she is so special, and that she is above the law.
I don't believe what her publicist says for one minute, remember he gets paid to make her look good.
Just because she has money doesn't make her any better than me and if i could face jail time for breaking the law so should she...
maybe she should take this time to eat something, she looks a little hungry!!!!

Paris Hilton is the epitome of the whole lot that's improper with the sector at present. She's popular handiest due to the fact of her G'pa Conrad, and due to the fact of the Hilton-Rick Saloman intercourse tape. Her track is crap, and simply yet another advertising ploy to aid her rake within the coins. Not to say that she's dumber than a rake; it would not shock me if she dropped out of the third grade. She's popular handiest due to the fact individuals desire her to be. It's fine to have a position mannequin, however you might prefer a miles greater one.

NO WAY ! what gives her the right to break the law and then get away with it ? Ignorance is not an excuse . Unfortunately along with bad taste , ignorance is something she has an overabundance of . Its not even a real jail .

Same opinion. I think she should be treated like anyone else. Being a celebrity doesn't mean you get away with murder.
