To solve 3 ^x = 11,
take the log of both sides:
x log 3 = log 11
x = log 11/log 3.

don't listen to the guy above me. it's asking what power you have to raise 3 to to get 11. (3^x = 11) you can use the log base 3 function on your calculator if you have it. otherwise, you can just guess values for x and check if they are close. i hope this helps!
