Why do different drinks do different things to you?

I mean, it's all alcohol, right? So why does potato vodka make you depressed, but tequila make you dance on tables? I'm open to hear any theories...

btw, I'm drinking scotch right now, and I feel like a total idiot.

brown liquor is harder on the body is what i have been told...makes you crazy..and from my own experience i think its true..fun fun while you are doing it but the next day ...you regret it

I do ok drinking beer and vodka but if I drink brandy I have to be careful for some reason. I get nuts. I do crazy things and get mad.
