that our President is fighting tooth and nail against benchmarks and a timetable for withdrawal while a majority of Iraqi lawmakers have signed onto draft legislation calling for a timetable for the withdrawal of foreign troops from Iraq and demanding a freeze on the number of such troops already in the country.

He is not working for me by keeping our soldiers in Iraq fighting an Iraqi on Iraqi war.
as I said, isn't it ironic? He vetoed a bill that called for the withdrawal of our troops claiming that it is surrender (per se) yet, the same country he wants to have us stay in wants us out, (well at least their lawmakers do)

Ironic? How's this for ironic?
Republicans accuse Dems of tax and spend, which any party that gets into office will have to do.
That money that King George wants to fund his ‘war on terror’ with; where do Republican voters think that money is coming from?
You working poor and middle class Republicans
PLEASE SHUT UP.
You are getting exactly what you voted for.
When you go to the gas station and have to pay almost $4 a gallon for gas to keep your car running; when you or a family member gets sick and you have to go into or further into debt to pay for medical care; when you go to buy groceries and you don’t get as much as you used to because almost everything cost more or you have to pay the same amount for less product because the manufacturer gives you less to cover his cost while charging the same price to FOOL YOU into thinking that they are giving you the same amount and not raising their price(s) as their competitors are; when it cost you more to heat your home in the winter months and cool in the summer; et al, don’t complain.
Tell George to keep his promise and give you back ‘YOUR MONEY’ like he said he would…else, SHUT UP.
With all you so-called supporters of the troops and the war on, ahem, 'terror', why don't YOU put your support; i.e. YOUR MONEY where your mouth is and and pay for the war yourself?
Why don’t you support the war and send only YOUR family members and YOURSELVES to fight and or die?
Especially you Republicans.
All these billionaires, millionaires, middle class income; working poor wage earner, et al in this country could easily fund the war on their own and probably even have enough family members to do the fighting as well.
Somewhere along the line it costs me and everyone else in this country to finance King George’s war.
The Republican party is full of master liars as everyone is beginning to realize now.
I don’t directly support King George’s war and I don’t support the troops in the manner that these liars say I should.
I support them with my prayers.
I pray that all those that are still alive come home safely and hopefully their bodies and minds intact.
I pray for the Iraqi people and ALL that are losing their lives; and I pray for peace.
I pray that the next president, regardless of what party she or he is a member of, to do what is right and fair and just for all…including the so-called enemy.
No one is born an enemy; one BECOMES an enemy.

Not the war in Afghanistan; but the war in Iraq, was never about liberating the people or the fight against terrorism. It was a business decision for the Oil Barons of the world.

Just remember all the times the Bush Administration and their supporters; diatribe about supporting our brave solders? What a shame and sham!
