I dunno, but I figure MY life is in danger if she DOESN'T. So I have no sympathy.

On the contrary, Paris Hilton's life is in danger if she does NOT go to jail. She is on a fast track to oblivion. She's not bothered by fines or high insurance rates; jail is the only way that she will dry out and have a chance to think about the direction she is going before she kills herself or somebody else.

The person that said that was probably her publicist. Trying to get the judge to soft peddle on her behalf. Ms Hilton will have the "star" status. And when she gets out she'll hit 200 Talk Shows telling her sad tale of woe... poor dear.
What she should do is take advantage of the situation and make this a "Reality" show. Where's the Fox network when you need it? All those harden women with their 'Born to raise Hell' tattoos. I'd watch it... once.

Pardon is reserved for someone important. Someone who has served public. Someone who may be in jail for long time for making a mistake while having served the public for good cause.

You just don't pardon someone with DUI charge and you just don't pardon someone like Paris Hilton. Arnold will be crazy to pardon someone like Hilton.

Paris already have airhead reputation, but if she keeps fighting this she'll lose more reputation. You just don't ask for pardon for stuff like DUI. Pardon is not get out of jail card. I think she said some smart things acknowledging drinking and driving is serious issue, but her legal actions don't show it.

I think that Paris Hilton should go to jail celebrity or not just like the rest of us that does something wrong and we have to pay for it.

Paris Hilton will not be in general population. She will have her own cell. And in 45 days she will back out among the beautiful people. And we still won't. Ain't life a bit**.

Paris deserves to go to jail under the circumstances. The law should be equal to everybody regardless of how much money you have. She's not any more special a person than anybody else.

Oh darn, Paris is going to get a dose of reality. How terrible. Really. I think it's awful. Absolute crap. She is above others. She is better than me. She is better than you. She doesn't deserve this. She has people that read her mail for her!

Bah, enough of this. I'm about to vomit. Throw the stupid girl in the clink! It's about time somebody gave her a little bit of discipline. Her parents didn't do it. Her mom is still trying to make excuses for her. How pathetic is that?

She should have thought of this before she broke the law. Why should the Governor come to her aide? Just because she's rich & famous doesn't mean she's exempt from the law.

whose life is in danger if she is free to drive drunk?

Nothing about her, or any other "star" should make them free to do as they please. First they are human, second, Americans., and they must live with the same rules as you and I.

Make a mistake, own up to it.
Break a law, do a crime, do the time.

She's just grandstanding to try and get sympathy from the useless clowns who think she's great.
