If your having to ask that question then he didn't. You both have to sign for an annulment, It also depends on what kind of annulment your talking about a religious or a civil law annulment. If it is religious he cant still be married and file for an annulment. The catholic church doesn't recognize divorce. He must be divorced from you and he then asks the church to annul his marriage to you. If they allow this the church then will recognize him as a good standing member. So that he can remarry at a later date. If it is a Law-full Annulment then in that case you both have to be present and the paperwork unless he is an attorney, He couldn't fathem the amount of paperwork it requires, if he can. He Wouldn't be able to get the correct forms anyway. So rest assured he is probably Full of SH!T and messing with you.

An annulment is a legal document just like a marriage certificate You, if you were anywhere available should have been notified to be at court when your husband petitioned the court for the annulment. In an annulment was granted they should have a record of it in the county clerk's office.

Call up or go to the court house in the county that you were married. I don't think though that an annullment can be performed without your knowledge or consent.
