utahmike41, only Jackson Hole is expensive, visit some of the other cities here and you'll see for yourself.

I've been there - and the people are wonderful!
If I had to use a political label, I would say Republican and Libertarian.

Well I used to burn up the highway between Idaho Falls and Jackson Hole. The people I have met seem pretty conservative for a bunch of rich *******. Everybody has a gun so committing a crime there would be suicidal. The red necks are always fun at the Million Dollar Cowboy Bar. Watching them fight over who slept with their sister first. However, the fireworks and liquor stores are first rate !

A great place to drive through, the best landscape to watch as you pass by. Don't really know very well of your political side because we passed through quickly ,but I know you guys are nice and friendly. I think everybody has their own take on the world and everyone needs to respect each others opinon.The only question I have is that why you guys don't build more rest stops with BATHROOMS!

Yup, passed through Jackson Hole twenty years ago. Beautiful country, friendly people though a mite reserved.
I don't talk politics with strangers, offline. You never know who might want to follow you home because they think you've no right to your opinion.

I have on a number of occasions and I never really talked to any of them about politics. My impression would be that they are fairly conservative, maybe even libertarian, and want a small government, more personal freedom, and low taxes.

It is a beautiful state and the people are great...but I am now afraid to come there. I am afraid that pot-shot Cheney will shoot me.............
