I'm doing a project for my history class, and I really need to know how many victories and losses the Union Army faced during the Civil War. Also, the total number of battles during the Civil War would help out. I've been searching online for hours and can't seem to find these answers anywhere. They would be greatly appreciated. Please help ASAP!!!!!!!!!!

"The American Civil War consisted of more than 10,000 military actions, ranging from major military campaigns to minor exchanges."
To write a complete list of Union losses and victories would be quite long and very time consuming.

I've been studying American history and the civil war for a long time, and I don't think I've ever seen a definitive number. Some battles were easy to know who won/lost, others are a little more blury. For example, Getysburg was an obvious Union Victory. But, what do you consider the seige on Savannah? It was a Union victory of sorts, but not necessarily troops lining up in a field to fight, or a flat out battle. I'll grab my books and see if I can give you a rough count, if I can - at least on the major battles.

Edit: No way that I can do it - I don't know if you want the western campaign, too, the boat and ship battles, etc.
Sorry! I tried!

By the list of Civil War battles I found the Union were victorious in 77 battles. If you want a list I can give it to you. I know the list I found probably isn't complete.
