Did the quick glimpse of Jacob remind you any of an older Loch (maybe from the future/another dimension?) Is that why the others, are so enamored with him?
Is Ben threatened by him, because the power he holds over the others seems to shift whenever Loch is around?
Does anyone else feel even more lost than before?

that guy who Ben ran into when he was younger is not Jacob... he is that guy who "works" for Ben in the present....
The guy that convinced Juliette to come to the island, the guy who gave Locke the files on Sawyer.....
for some reason he hasn't aged.. maybe they have a fountain of youth or something on that island.... or maybe it has something to do with the experiments the people of Dharma were doing on the people who lived there before they got there....

I'm not sure exactly who he is. I think the others are beginning to distrust Ben. Maybe that's why Ben is so hung up on Locke, because he looks like Jacob. Although I'm not sure he did/does. It was not the guy he found in the woods to the other person who answered. That guy is still around but with shorter hair. Its the one who brought Juliette to the island.
A friend who watches the show thought that Jacob might be the guy who delivered Ben. Whom is also the guy who brought them to the island. That could be, but I'm not sure how old that would make him. I'm figuring he was in mid 20's -30 when he stopped to help deliver Ben. Ben is now 30 something. That would make him 50-60 about. I don't know. Maybe he saved him for some reason, but killed all the other darhma people.

I have to admit that I didn't see Jacob...it was too quick. Ben is very jealous of Locke because Locke has a special relationship to the island, has the healing powers that Ben doesn't possess and Jacob spoke to Locke. Clearly, the Others are enamored of Locke and they view him as a leader. My guess is that Locke will take Ben's place and become the spiritual leader of the Others. Jacob needs Locke. What's Jacob's agenda? Who knows? But clearly Ben isn't altruistic and perhaps Jacob sees this and wants Locke to join forces with him to achieve his goal. When Jacob said "help me" I think he was sending Locke a signal that all is not right between him and Ben.

Been talking with all my Lost junkies and they are all divided on who Jacob looks like. I think he resembles Jacks dad, and most of us do agree that it looks like he is wearing old pirate clothes? Is it just me? I dont see the Locke resemblance, and would the pirate clothes have something to do with the pirate ship there? And why doesnt Richard get old? Is Ben and Locke related? You know, both their mom's names are Emily, hmmm, I'm thinking that ain't a coincidence. Gives us alot of questions. OMG, I love that show. Gives me the same hype as when the X-Files were on!

I'm going to have to disagree. What I see is a guy who - with a beard added - looks like Jack's father, Christian. Go check out on imdb for the picture of Jack and Christian (link below), and compare that picture to the one that was given from the wikipedia page......it's an interesting theory, if nothing else. Remember, Jack saw his father walking around not too long after the crash, and he was supposed to be dead. Wouldn't that make for an interesting twist, if it turns out to be Christian?

I went over the scene over and over again on my VCR. I can't see any glimpse of Jacob at all. So, I can't comment on that. Where can I find pictures? Are they posted on a website somewhere? If anyone knows please email me!

ohhh, i am so dam confused myself on that one. remember when ben was having those flashbacks from when he was a kid, and he ran into the jungle looking for his mother? he met that man. i'm half *** wondering if that is this jacob guy. hell, i dont know, just guessing guessing, and guessing again.

i never thought of it that way.... but it makes as much sense as anything else on Lost...
Then Ben could never kill Locke... hmmmm.....
