How often do you wash your duvet or comforter? My husband thinks that I do it too much. I change the sheets once a week and wash the duvet every other week.

i am single and dirty -- when i feel the urge to do extra laundry. growing up they were always washed weekly. i bought a really nice comforter and it won't fit in the washer so it has to go to the cleaners so it is seldom washed.

i am thinking your husband might be getting nostalgic over his bachelor days. when you co-exist all the rules have to change.

Sheets once a week but more often in the hot weather. Duvet about once a month, depends how much time I have, I hate putting it back on. My husband wouldn't have a clue, he thinks housework is no problem, but then I guess it isn't if you aren't the one doing it.

when married I used to change the sheets daily or every-other day. Because we slept between the sheets and the comforter was only for decoration when we weren't sleeping there was no need to wash the comforter often. We covered ourselves with a light quilt or blankets. Comforters usually require being sent to the drycleaners and since that got expensive we didn't use it close to our skin. Comforters are heavy and wear out the washer and dryer too quickly.

You are doing the right thing, Does he know you have dead skin cells that shed from your body and are on the sheets everynight? Every since someone told me that I change my sheets twice weekly, and I don't use my expensive comforter to cover up with, we have another blanket on the bed in between, and we turn back the comforter at night.

I wash all my bed covers once a week. It may be too much for me as I never sleep in the bed but my sheets are clean!

I change my sheets like every 10 days. I don't think changing them every week is a bad thing at all, I think it's really a matter of choice. I choose to change mine every 10 days because my husband and I take a shower every night before we go to bed, so it doesn't get dirty from us sweating all day, and neither of us sweats too much at night. Eww...now that I say that the whole sweating thing sounds gross, maybe I'll start changing them everyday! jk. :P

Sheet changing should be done every Monday.
Comforters---once a month or just air dry in the hot sun.
