I think he would win Cy Young if it ended today, but voters refuse to vote for a pitcher for MVP, so I have to say A-Rod, although you could certainly give an argument for Lowell, among others. NL: Bonds is the obvious choice, though I don't think he will keep producing like this, so he won't actually win.

Beckett has played very well, but it is extremely difficult for a pitcher to win the MVP. It has only happened a few times in the history of the game. Beckett would no doubt win the Cy Young if the season ended today. A-Rod (as much as I hate this guy) deserves to win the MVP. The first month, he was unbelievable.

Josh Beckett huh? MVP? lets learn a lesson!
Pitchers win Cy Young Awards, NOT MVPs!
so MVP should be A-Rod. yea, with 15 HRs, has been cold for a week, but still no one has caught up to him.

Alex Rodriguez. Nobody has had a more impressive April, ever.
The NL MVP, I'd say Carlos Lee at this point.

AL: Alex Rodriguez, he still has a ton of credentials left over from April.
NL: Barry Bonds. Leads the NL with home runs and is drawing a hell of a lot of attention.
A close second would be Matt Holliday, batting up near 400 with a ton of home runs and rbis.

Obviosly not A-Rod because Yankees have a terrible record in May.
I go with Jose Reyes in NL (leadoff hitter with 25 RBI already and .350AVG)
AL I'd go with David Ortiz.

I definatley think Jose Reyes.
He has hit so good this season and his defense is amazing.
He is definatley MVP material.
But is still young and i think he will go far, he is definatley an up and coming player.

AL - A-Rod in a unanimous vote...its not even close.
NL - I'd say Chipper Jones at this point. He's been mashing the ball and has the Braves at the top of the standings.

It's way way way way too early to tell, and there are already so many emerging starrs. If I had to pick one, I'd have to choose A-Rod. 15 HR, a .352 average and 39 RBI in two months. That's just insane.
