I've heard that this will be the last season of Lost.
Any truth to the rumor?

No this is DEFINITELY NOT the last season for "Lost".
ABC has announced that "Lost" will run until 2010 with a total of 48 new episodes (which will run into 2010).
After the season finale of "Lost" this month, the show will not be back on until January 2008.

Lost is on until May 2010. They have 3 more seasons they are committed to, to make the series a 6 season show. Dont you guys go to abc.com, or watch the news? Its all over the entertainment news channels how this is unprecedented in tv history knowing when the series finale will be.

What a mistake. "Lost" was great the first 2 seasons and that was it . This show has completely lost it's way. It has even gone way down in the ratings of what it once was. Great, now this show instead of going out on a high note, it will just go down in flames. Don't be surprised by 2009 it will be below the 50 spot in the ratings. Then again that wouldn't happen because the network would find a way of breaking the contract before that happened. In the Entertainment Industry contracts are broken all the time !!!!!!

They have set a date for the last season but I believe it is 3 seasons away.

It was announced this week that it will continue in 3 more mini-seasons until 2010. No more repeats, but the next season doesn't begin until January.

No Mousie, ABC just released that "Lost" will not end until the year 2010. They are planning 48 more episodes. (16 per season)

I've read articles and Matthew Fox (Jack) said on Jay Leno the other night that it has 3 more seasons.
