HP Pavillion dv6233se laptop - Special Edition for $700. The guy bought it for $730 from best buy 2 months ago and still has the receipt. I'm offering him $700 because he's including the receipt along with a laptop bag, SD card, optical mouse, USB memory stick and a 80 GB external hard drive. I thought it was a good deal but then again I don't know much about laptops and one guy on here said offer him $500, $600 tops. Can someone else put in their input??? Some of the specs are as follows:
Microprocessor 1.6 GHz AMD Turion ™ 64 X2 Dual-Core Mobile Technology TL-50
Microprocessor Cache 2x 256KB L2 Cache
Memory 1024MB DDR2 (2 Dimm)
Video Graphics NVIDIA GeForce Go 6150 (UMA)
Video Memory Up to 288MB (shared)
Hard Drive 120GB 5400RPM Hard Drive (SATA)
Windows Vista Premium

well it sounds like really good idea. but like buying a used car you have to know where it came from why he\she is sailing it and have you accutally touched turned it on seen its internet connection
what im bassicly telling you is that you should use it a little before you buy it andsee how you like it
good luck

Best Buy! For sure. Or try amazon. Don't go anywhere else, seriously. I just bought a laptop in august, and if you give it some time, especially right around now, with all the Christmas sales, there is sure to be a good deal. I got a Toshiba for about 600, and it stills works good. I really would recommend Bestbuy. Check the website, because sometimes the sales are only online. :)

If I were you I would wait a year or 2 till they get all the problems solved with vista
Also you need a lot of memory and a faster processor for windows vista due to the 3d effects
Did you know most of your older programs even made for xp will not work on vista even printers need updated drivers in order to work on windows vista
So if you can wait thats what I would do
Take care

Yes, that is a decent deal for a laptop which is but two months old, given that he's taking less than he paid for the unit, along with including over $100 of extra equipment.

Offer $650, then if he counter offers 675 then accept it.
A brand new 250 GB external hardrive is about $120 plus tax. So you figure a used 80GB hardrive is worth about $35.

No, if the guy bought it for $730, then you can get a better deal then $700. Who knows what software or bugs have been loaded onto it.
Also, ebay is a good idea of going prices for used stuff. watch for the final sale price.
