I love nursing, but hate my job! So much paper/computer work that the care has to take a very back seat. It is a sad state of affairs!

It's a good thing you said aside from the paycheck lol. Thats actually the one thing I don't like about my job. I work at a children's museum where my job all day is just to interact with kids and then clean up a little after they leave if the parents didn't help them do it. Its wonderful to see their eyes light up when they walk in the door and to be able to sit and play with a child who may not get much interaction at home. Plus it gives me a chance to think about what i want to do with my life since its not so stressful and time consuming.

I actually do like my job. I've been with them for almost 5 years and cross trained for every position in the office with the exception of supervisor. And the paycheck isn't that great...I just feel like what I do has some value

Yes, I do...

Granted, I only work 13 hrs. a week, but I used to work full-time until my son was born in Dec 2004. I'm an optician and I have always enjoyed my job, my co-workers, and the patients that I help. Now, I just work a few hours for some pocket money and to get out of the house. I probably enjoy it a little more now because it is only part-time, but I enjoyed it at 45 hrs. a week, too.

I am a manager of a large retail operation. For the most part I love my job, I like the way it pushes me to constantly improve. And also its nice being boss.

But, I also work the the public and I find that there are many times when people's brains seem to shut off and they forget how to function. Many times I can keep my cool and work through it.

Then there are those days when I think about taking my box cutter and stabbing them in the throat so the only thing I can hear is the blood gurgling in their throat.

I have yet to follow through with it, and like I said - for the most part I like my job.

I love my job. I'm employed at the Mariposa grove of giant Sequoias in Yosemite natl. park as a tram driver / narrator. I take about 50 people at a time on a 7 mile, 75 minute tour through some of the largest living things on the planet. I get to see all kinds of wildlife, plus meet people from all over the world. I do this from about May to September. Then I do forensic photography, and legal video the rest of the year.

It's not the greatest job but it's the highest paying job someone at my age can get. The only good part about it is, of course, the money, and the people I work with. I had to work late and was in a crummy mood but these girls I was sitting next to cheered me right up :)

I love my job, it allows me huge expense account and quite a bit of free time. The man that claims to work at Yosemite has to be kidding or crazy. I can't see how you could operate a 7 mile tour in 75 minutes of 50 people. Let's get real, little kids, handicapped people and the elderly are not moving that fast. I gave him a thumbs down. Oh wait, let me hand him the liar of the week award also.

I'm a nurse. I like my job most of the time. It's rewarding and more than just a paycheck for sure.

Honestly, I don't like work, but if I don't have work, I'd feel that there's no point to live. I like my current job, working with good people. Of course I don't like to do a few things in my daily work, but I still enjoy most of the daily work I am doing right now.
