I'm 16 years old and 31 weeks pregnant. My boyfriend and I both like the name but his mother is angry with me because she thinks the baby should be named after her father. (I don't exactly get along the best with his mother either)

This is to the woman who told me to give MY baby up for adoption - No. He's mine. And I CAN take care of him. Thanks.

And this is to the other woman telling me to think about adoption -- I've already graduated high school. I'm in my 2ND year of college. I think I'm capable of keeping this child. Yea-thanks.

Zachary Matthew is a good strong name. Even better if his last name has only one or two syllables, because it flows together that way. Zachary Jacob, Zachary Thomas, and even Matthew Zachary are other nice combinations. Good luck to you and do whatever you have to do to give that gift your carrying a good start and great chance in life. Bless you.

Congratulations. Remember that despite your age you are the mother and you get the honor of naming your child whatever you choose. Tell her that you understand why she would want that and feel blessed she would like your child to be named after her father but you aren't 100% sure on the name yet. Now just tell everyone that you will reveal the name once the baby is born. Makes things much simpler.

I love the names Zachary and Matthew. They are both very nice, classic, strong names. The combination wouldn't be my choice but it isn't bad. It seems like two different styles to me or maybe not different styles...I don't know...just not my favorite combo for some reason...

I like:
Zachary Ryan
Zachary Taylor
Zachary Owen
Zachary Tyler
Zachary Christopher
Zachary Michael
Zachary Spencer
Zachary Joshua
Zachary Benjamin
Zachary Jackson

Or...
Dylan Matthew
Shane Matthew
Logan Matthew
Ryan Matthew
Christopher Matthew

Good Luck! SD

I have a nephew Zach and a brother Matt so actually, I'm kinda partial to both names, but not quite sure that they fit together (Zachary's middle name is William and Matthew's middle name is Todd). Might I ask what the woman's father's name is? Is it something horrible, or could you possibly use it as a middle name?

I've been there. I can't stand my boyfriends mom. She wanted me to have an abortion but I wouldn't and I ended up having a miscarriage anyway. I hope that ***** is happy. She got what she wanted. But anywho....just had to get that out of my system. Zachary is my boyfriends name and his brothers name is Matthew. I like the name. Good Luck.

You need to write your mother in law out all together. Sound like she needs to be put in her place and if you don't do it soon the least of your arguemetns is going to be about naming YOUR baby. I LOVE the name. It has a great sound to it. This is your child- she had her chance to raise hers. I am telling you to put her in her place, if your Boyfriend won't do it. And he should, since it is his mom causing grief. I am going throught the same problems right now with my MIL and it is really bad between us. Good luck and keep the name. You don't want to REGRET anything in life.

I think Zachary Matthew is a great name. He is your child and you should name him, well you and the father. I don't think you should give in to the pressures of his mother.

It's a wonderful name.

If your asking opinions on giving the baby up for adoption ... Seriously consider it. It is in the best interests of both mom and baby

Props to you for keeping your baby. Advice on naming him??? He's yours and yours alone. She had her chance to name kids with your boyfriend, so if it comes up again~ tell her to back off. I think this name is great!

he is your child and you should name him what you feel is the right name for him though it would be nice for him to have a namesake if he was close with his grandfather and i am sure his mother will understand and love him no matter what his name is
