I don't think people have forgotten, many people are still mourning their loss, but there is not much anyone can do at this time except get on with their lives. This is especially so because there is an ongoing investigation by professionals which means us ordinary people can't do much except wait.
If you were interested in pursuing the matter to make sure such things don't happen again, you could write a letter to the manufacturers stating your point of view, and also to the local authorities in your town or city, asking about how such things can be prevented in future, and how you can help.
Usually, government bodies and manufacturers are keen to respond to consumer concerns or genuinely interested people, and perfect spelling and fancy stationery is not required.
You could be the person whose efforts make a difference in the future!
Good luck to you!

whoa now. Just because someone isn't willing or just plain hasn't sued yet does not mean that they have forgotten their pets. That is a very poor attitude to have about the current situation. Some just aren't inclined to sue, and many are trying to, it takes so long to get a case together that it may be months still before we hear of any lawsuites.
No one even has to sue. Now that we are more aware of what we are feeding out pets, and we found out that dollar general dog food and Iams are made by the same people, hopefully, there will be a drastic change to high quality all natural grain-free american made petfood, as well as home made diets. This will destroy the major petfood labels much more that a lawsuit would They have money set aside for that.
Everytime someone sweeps up dog hair from under the couch long after their pet has gone, they will remember them. Everytime a person strolls past the cat supply isle, that beloved cat will be remembered. Everytime they see that empty place where the dog bed used to be, that depression in the matress where the cat used to sleep, every stray that walkes past the window, that pet will be remembered. Suing will not make that better. It will stick it to menu foods, but it will not help anyone remember their pets.

No one has forgotten, but many are more concerned about what they're feeding their pets, than carryin' on chaos about the recall altogether.
Arrests have been made in China, I think that's a pretty good start to things. It's the source in China that needs to be given all these lawsuits, not the pet food manufacturers (well, some deserve it, but some do not.)

I didn't use any of the foods on the list. I have not forgotten about it and my heart goes out to the families who lost their beloved pets. I've been feeding Nature's Variety for over 4 years along with home prepared.
I don't think any of us will forget this for a very long time.
Sue? If it had been one of my pets I'm not sure what I would do. Money wouldn't ease my pain or bring my beloved pet back but I can't answer what I would do.

I have not forgotten the pet food recall.
I am on the FDA list for notification of all recalls.
I feel sorry for all the people that thought they were feeding their pets decent food and the animals became sick because of it.
But the bigger issue is how our human food been contaminated. While due to our size dilution has made it such that humans have not died, and will not die, from this recent contamination. These poisons have been introduced into our bodies, and will accumulate with the volumes of other poisons that are introduced into food chain.

Hello, try looking around, I've answered 2 or 3 of those questions today alone,,of course people care, but what can ya go, sueing will not bring the dogs back & you'll play heck trying to sue China, the only ones who will win in the lawsuits..are the ATTORNEYS, nothing is perfect or 100% in Life, stuff happens & always will...to think people don't care is unkind of you ..... to say the least, it's VERY SAD & BAD but nothing much is gonna get done about it ...IF you think your dogs food is 100% safe, that is your first mistake as well, stuff is going to happen !! Take Care :)

no i haven't forgotten. in fact, i get daily updates via email. you might want to check the fda website as more brands have been recalled this week. i haven't lost any of my pets due to tainted food. i'm very sorry for those of you who have. there might be class action lawsuits, but good luck with that. the lawyers will make most of the money, and pet foods are not regulated under the laws of the fda. maybe now they will be though....
fyi for the future, try not to generalize and sound so insulting.

I lost my little Yorkie about a month before everybody else's dogs got sick. Does anyone know when this bad food started. I remember Cassy, was her name, was pushing away her food bowl with her nose she wouldn't eat it. It was
Alpo chunky canned food. Was this on the list?
I don't know of anyone handling this law suit, but usually there are lawyers who handle joint claims of everyone who lost something. They sue for millions and share the monies with the people. We should have attorneys like this. I wonder if we search the net we could find any law suits? Sorry I can't help answer your question but I know how you feel my little Cassy was only 10 years old and I very much miss her every day and night. I loved her so much. She was my baby. I live alone and she was aways with me. Let me know if anyone finds out if we can sue these companies.

I don't think it's been forgotten,it sure woke everybody up knowing now that most foods come from the same place. I never used any of the foods. I make most of what they eat. I know that many people are suing and they should! I hope none of your pets died due to this. If so I'm so sorry and yes you should sue too. All the best.........
