Lawence Taylor, who on earth else would it be? He is one of the greatest linebackers ever.

There really is no debating this question. It is definitely Lawrence Taylor. He is one of the greatest defensive players to ever play the game, let alone for the Giants. He was drafted second overall in 1981 and never looked back. One of the most feared players in the game, he changed the dimension of the outside linebacker position. He had the speed to run past blockers and the strength to out muscle them. He was a ten time probowler and he was defensive player of the year 3 times. In 1986 he was MVP of the league. That is amazing for a defensive player. When he retired he was second in career sacks, even though they didn't count the 9.5 sacks he had as a rookie because it didn't become an official stat until 1982. He finished his career with an amazing 132.5 sacks. He was inducted into the Hall Of Fame in 1999. Truly an amazing player.

Lawrence Taylor is slightly better than Michael Strahan...
The Giants did not have that good of a defense before he came in.... He started the Giants defense on the other hand, Strahan is scary good but their defense was pretty good before him anyways...
