i heard that you could install netgear without the disk that it comes with. i lost it. i have a laptop that want to connect to the internet on my desktop. i need answers asap

You can download the drivers and the manual from Netgear's web site.

All you have to do is connect to the web based interface for the router and setup the connection.

This is usually done by opening a browser window and in the address bar type the router address. (The netgear default is http://192.168.1.1 )

Use netgears support site for more details if needed.

yes, i don't know how but try this

turn on your your router then connect to it even to it doesn't have internet yet. after that, there is a wireless connection icon in the taskbar, double click it then go to the support tab, there you will see the default gateway. type the address on you browser, then it will ask you to type in your username and password. then after that you can now configure your router
