It will if you stop dragging your asses and go through the courts like normal people.
Y'all seem to want your politicians to take care of this, when it's political suicide. The courts are your only chance, politicians can only give civil unions, it's why that's all they ever try.
Also, get out and vote for God's sake people, you can't complain about a system if you don't take part in it!

I'm not sure how long it will take, but yes, sometime in the future every adult in the US will be free to marry any other adalt that they like, no matter their gender. People at that time will look back on this point in history and will be embarrased for us.
It was exactly the same years ago with interracial marriage. There was a time when it wasn't permitted, and people argued about it in much the same way as people do about gay marriage today. Today, it is accepted and we look back on that time with embarassment and shame. Gay marriage will follow the same course.

Eventually it will. But I think that by the time it is legal most people will probably not be marrying each other anymore. With divorce rates climbing I think people will just live with each other and not actually get married. So when that happens marriage will not be such a big thing anymore then people will stop trying to stop gays and lesbians from marrying each other.
Did that make sense?

Yes, when some people finally get their heads out of their butts and realize that love is love and gay people deserve the same rights as anyone else. Our world needs to evolve a bit faster I think.

I don't think it'll be more than 20 more years ... unless we keep sliding farther downhill. Because acceptance is growing more and more all the time. And the bigots are a dying breed.

I think it will eventually happen. It's going to take a lot of time and effort, but eventually it's going to be.
