Yay! I Just REDONE my room.
Okay, Get rid of the curtains. What can you use?
Well: Go to walmart or spencers. You can get pretty femine curtains, or at spencers get beaded curtains. Get something that will match anything and you won't regret.
Now as the walls, PAINT them.
Or. . A Fun idea is to write on your walls inspiring words or something.
Posters, if you like them keep them.
Bedspreads, get some color into them xD
At walmart you can buy chandeliers. Buy a cute chandiler. Get some chinese lanterns to hang on your ceiling (not the ones you actually light up)
Have a chinese fan, spread it out, hang it on your wall.
Get neon lights.
See. If you can't paint your walls, buy lots of different colored sharpies and write EVERYWHERE on your walls, like with words or drawings.
If you like fashion and stuff, go through your magazines and cut out pretty outfits or shoes or anything you like, hang them up.
Make a collage on your wall with magazines.
Just be creative, be yourself.

My room has a very French sort of look to it. The walls are a creamy yellow and my comforter is a light blue. I also have these pretty curtains that compliment the blue in my comforter. I love to put things that reflect me in my room so I have a few poasters and some paintings that have been in my family for generations. However, I do not like to put a lot of stuff on my walls. 1. your room will look smaller and crowded and 2. Depending on what you use, the sheetrock can rip off of the walls from scotch tape or if tacks are used they will put holes everywhere. So usually I use masking take for poasters. It does not stick as well and you may find that you have to replace they tape on the back of your poasters once every three month or something but It is worth it (because if you want to take the poasters down you will have nice walls). But just have fun with your room! There are so many little things you can do to make everything tie into one another. For example, lamps, lamp shades, the colors of the furniture that you have in your room (this is where you can make a decision about a paint color), curtain colors, decorative pillows, the colors of your favorite objects. But for bright and girly colors, purple, red, and pink are always fun. These are all things to take into consideration. Make it unique and your own and just have fun with it! Hope I helped!

It would depend on money of course, Easy fix new bedspread and curtains. Up date your posters. If you could swing it paint the walls. Go to a paint store a pic a favorite color sceme and use the same colors for the curtains and bedspreads. I'm not saying have everything one color. If you paint the walls green find a bedspread or curtains that have a green in them that complaments the wall. Its good to have 2-3 colors that play in to each other.

Consider painting either just one "accent" wall (usually the one that your headboard is on) for a strong effect. Also, it sometimes looks cool to paint the ceiling and walls the same shade, as long as it is not a dark shade.
Sometimes solid colors for bedspreads are more mature. You could get a down comforter and then several inexpensive duvet covers in a variety of styles and colors, and change them when you feel like it.
Another idea is to create a PHOTO BORDER around your room. Place it a little above eye level, and place same size photographs of you, your friends, your fav celebs and bands, etc. around the perimeter of the room....cheap and easy! Just make sure they are all the same size, lined up, and be careful with what you use to attach them to the wall.
Check out PBteen for ideas.

Well to begin with my walls are bright orange and i wrote all the lyrics to my favorite song one wall, its completely covered. That was years ago and dad wasn't really happy about it. But recently i came up with an idea to use my wall to make a collage.. i printed out the best pictures of me and my friends or whatever you want to see and cut them all into different shapes and use a glue stick or invisible tape to make a collage, overlap each picture slightly ontop of the one next to it. It came out pretty well, i put it on the wall i face when i go to sleep so i can look at all the good times i had before i fall asleep each night. At first i was weary of doing it cause i didn't know how it would come out but it actually turned out pretty cool. My whole wall is filled with family, friends, and beautiful pictures. Also if you go to your local AC Moore or any craft store and pick out see-thru colored cloth you can put them over your windows and the sunlight going through the colored clothes will make your room look a lot brighter. Also prisms are always fun and cheap, when the sunlights hit them they scatter rainbows across your room! OH one more thing you can get colored light bulbs that make your room more interesting without changing paint colors or anything lengthy like that.

Starting with the Walls: If you have money, you can get it professionally painted. If you don't, you can try painting it yourself (it's not that hard and it's tons of fun) or you can cover your walls with posters and bulletin boards.
Curtains and bedspreads: go to walmart or target and buy something new. they're inexpensive, yet cool at the same time.
They have some funky floor and desk lamps at target that can add some pizzaz... Just go shopping and see if you like anything!

i totally went through that. i was 13 and still had kittens and bunnies having a tea party on my wall paper. you need to work in steps. the first thing to do is walls. set aside some time to browse around a paint store. take a friend and compare colors and see what you like. then take the samples home and imagine what it might be like. draw a floor plan of what you want your room to look like. i have a papasan chair. maybe you want a butterfly chair. planning it will make you more prefared and excited to actually start working on your room. when you finally choose your paint/ wall paper, clear out your room, tape and prep it. then buy a pizza, bring in a boombox, and have some friends over. i watched every lotr movie within a 2 day period while painting my room with my friends. make it fun. be creative with stenciling, artwork, collages, photos, move posters, etc. i mad a candy wrapper collage with my friends and it covers my entire closet door. it adds color to the room. expect that the complete makeover will take awhile. if you see a poster you like, buy it and put it aside for when you finally re-do your room. its important that every aspect of it is truly what you want it to be. we all know that a girls room is her own little island. maybe you want palm tree walpaper?

I like using orange, purple, and pink. I like bedsheets that are solid colors, and use pillow cases that are different, but matching colors. Also, use a lot of squares and circles in decorations. Square lamp shades can look really awesome, especially if they're the same color as your bed. I always make my bed the center of decorations. When it comes to posters, you can use a lot of flowers and stuff. Those are my personal suggestions because if you use simple things like that than you can almost always find other things to add to your room when you want to change it a little.

I'm not going to knock you for anything its your life so do whatever with it. Stopping for awhile, week or two, might cause your parents to stop checking on you as much and decrease your chance of getting caught. You might want to mention to your parents you are no longer seeing the girl and stopped. If you lock your room it would be impossible to check on you. A pillow dummy might work until the lights turn on so staying in and seeing how your parents check to see if your gone by pretending to be asleep could give you better insight on how to pull it off. Leaving music or tv on also creates the illusion that you are still in your room to anyone just outside your door. Waiting for your parents to fall asleep if you can always helps and so does the fake sleep over, saying your at someone else's house and then going out. Good luck on your ventures.
