It all started years ago when there were no tv's or internet or cell phones or ipods. It was entertainment and people could use the stars and make stories aroind them

The idea of stories of stars began roughly 35,000 years ago, and probably further back than that. Ever since the time when man first became aware of himself and the world around him, he has pondered the questions of who he was, and just how he fit into the great scheme of things. His first use of astronomy was a simple one, and served a twofold purpose.

First it answered the kinds of questions that have perplexed all of us since the dawning of thinking man. Questions such as who or what created the world? How will the world end?Who was the first man, and how did we get here? And is there life after death, and if so where do we go when we die?

The answers to these questions place alot of faith in the various gods (depending on your religion), who are credited with our creation, and also in the priests or great leaders who are the caretakers of the souls they swore so vehemently to protect. The second purpose of ancient astronomy was an effort to justify an already existing social order, and to account for the traditional ceremonial rites and customs. Because stars are celestial bodies like our spirit. And they convey a message in our universe. The wonders of the sky were always man's focus through time and ages. This is where great lights and galaxies are hidden but shine like millions of suns and moons together. This universe is so wonderful to explore and experience, but it is not the only one.
Stars tell us we are not alone. They can carry our visions and point out our destiny. Stars were always associated with the destiny of great men and prophets on their way.
And "being born under a good star", is not a bad thing either!

Even now if you look at the sky at night, every one gets amazed by the beauty of sky. And you find some thing interesting yet its always mysterious. there start the stories... The intelligent people started thinking "Scientifically" ( so called ) and started horoscope and stuffs like that. While the creative and artistic people started telling the stories ;-)
