Are people a**h***s on here?

2007-05-10 14:02:26 · 5 answers · asked by Ovation Photography 1 in Arts & Humanities Books & Authors

I guess I forgot to include when people do not know the whole situation to these questions that people are actually asking.

In my case my boyfriend had his paper due. The teacher gave him the assignment late because he couldnt go to school because of a divorce going on in his family. Plus he is graduating in a week and all the other stuff he has on his plate already...it just piles up.. I asked 4 questions about a stupid book.

I tend to be an a$$hole when I come across questions posted by students trying to convince people to do their homework for them.

I find using this forum to perpetuate the laziness that is running rampant among the younger generations to be revolting, so I try to point that out when I answer questions from lazy people.

As for a$$holes, well, the human condition isn't pleasant, so for people to walk around being nice to everyone is a pipe dream. Some people also mistake being an a$$hole with being honest (as has happened to me).

People need to realize that the real world requires thick skin, and people who cannot handle people being rude, crass, insensitive, immature, or any combination thereof need to develop thick skin, or surround themselves with "yes men" who will pad the ego and say "you do no wrong."

However, I prefer people to be honest (regardless of how harsh it may be, provided that it's meant to improve a person, not run them down for sadistic entertainment). But with people whining about it, it is only a matter of time before the whiners get everything politically correct and remove people who do not conform to playing nice.

Everyone, just grow up.

(And this is someone playing nice while being an a$$hole)

Dear just because people refuse to do your homework for you doesnt make them assholes. We spotted you a couple of answers - the rest of the assignment it YOUR responsibility. I've read the book, so have many others who responded to you. You are seeking to CHEAT and when people dont give you every single answer, you come back calling them bad names? You dont deserve anyone's help. I think the shoe is on the wrong foot, dear. Reconsider your question. Pax - C

Immaturity, mostly.
Others are just cowards in real life, so they get all big and mighty as soon as they get behind an anonymous keyboard.
Don't worry about it - It's like a couple of teenagers in a car shouting insults a pedestrians - not only are they too chicken to insult someone who could catch up to them, there has to be many of them to do it. What should you care what a coward thinks?
Cheers.

Because life is full of them. They have always been here on this earth; long before the internet/ world wide web came about.
Try not to let them get you down so much. ;)
If you come across someone's message that is in that manner and it makes you upset/angry then try ignoring it and go read another person's message or get your mind on something else.

It's not just on this site.... people are a55holes everywhere you go. Even if you went to the smallest town in Alaska, there would be at least one person there who was a complete a55hole... It's a genetic flaw in the human species.

Okay now I get it... you want people to write your "Siddhartha" paper for you, and when they refused to do that you call them a55holes.
