Yes...
I say that if GOD made it that it should be legal. But by saying this I am also saying that if all that you have to do is put it in the ground and water it daily and make sure that it gets enough sunlight then yea it is OK.
But some of the stuff that is out there now is just wrong. I mean that they out chemicals in the stuff to make it "stronger."
But If it ever does become legal then they need to make it just like Cigs and tax it...
That is really the only reason that it is not legal in the first place is because there is so much of it out there in the U.S. that they cannot just say that it is legal now, cause people would start growing it like crazy; heck you would see little 90 year old women with a whole garden of the stuff...
So if people really want to see it get legalized they need to push the stuff out of the U.S. and then when "they" realize that it is all gone they will have farmers out the the heartland growing the stuff like mad and then sell the it by the pack just like cigs but probably more expensive though like $50/pack.

I never thought I'd say this.... I was always against it and not till recently have started to doubt that. I have been dx'd with MS and have aweful muscle cramps and spasms. The complaint I have given 8 months ago remain the and have multiplied. I am now looking into this possibility. I am 36 and have passed on it until now. Offer me some now and I will take you up on it!!! Hope it will work for me. If not, the medicinal use lost it's case.

NO. That is all America needs to have a bunch of Pot heads , wandering around. Drug Dealers would love to have this hallucinating drug made legal. Easy money for the lazy sleaz bags. How can any decent human being feel good about dealing in that crap ? Look at the brain damage and sluggers way of life. Is that a good thing? Hell No. Drug Dealers are from Hell. Mothers and Fathers sitting around high on this crap. Child Neglect would increase as it is a proven fact that poor Little Children are neglected when parents do this. Child Endangerment will be put into full force. Many Pot Head Parents will face charges of Child Endangerment. Also anyone who smokes Pot and over the long period of time, it leaves a residue that coats the brain. Cause early senility. Lack of sex drive and lazy ways in life.

No. If this were the 60's I'd consider saying yes but the stuff today is 5 times as powerful as it was back then. It is so strong that it can cause hallucinations and delusions. That is a recipe for disaster. And marijuana has been shown to be addictive and it can permanently slow brain function. For sick people, there are other ways to deal with pain. The cons outweigh the pros on this issue. Marijuana should not be legalized.

I don't smoke weed, but I do think that it isn't any worse than drinking beer. So, I don't see the harm in making it legal, not to mention it would cut down on DUI's and also cut down on the drug trafficing problems. I know some people would fight about the DUI part, but I use to smoke weed back when I was younger, and I can tell you that I drove slower and paranoid when I was smoking, I drive a lot more dangerous when I am Drinking and driving, not that I would ever do that. This is my opinion on this.

Well i think it would be okay for it to be legal. look at everything teens do we do it because we are not supposed to. and even if we still smoked it if it was legal it has healin herbs in it. but i dont think it should be abused just like they have laws for drinking and smoking cigarettes i think they should do the same for maraijuana.

Absolutely, as a controlled substance. For 3 reasons:
1) The amount of money wasted in this pointless "war on drugs" is astronomical. Not to mention a total waste of manpower and resources.
2) What are street gangs going to sell if marijuana is legalized? Other drugs right? Legalize them too. You dont want them dealing drugs? Legalize the drugs. Just like during Prohibition in the thirties, crime skyrocketed when they made alcohol illegal. Al Capone and other gangsters made huge amounts of money during that period, and those guys are the inspiration for todays black "gangstas", also living under a prohibition! You want to end violence amongst gangs in the streets, dont let them be drug dealers! What are they going to fight over if you can buy drugs at the corner store? Whos going to buy off the street if you can get your pot at the liquor store?
3) The economic possibilities of the hemp (marijuana) plant are incredible. Right now very little and nothing in some states can be made from hemp. (I think its Kentucky where you cant even wear clothes made from hemp!) Paper can be made from hemp, and it takes much less time to grow than a tree! So right off, less damage to the earths forests. You can make clothes out of hemp, you can make biodegradable plastic from hemp, as opposed to the non-degradable oil-based plastics we use today. You can also run your car on hemp oil. The first Ford Model-T was built of hemp plastic and ran on hemp oil. You want to end our dependence on foreign oil and be more evironmentally friendly? There you go.
What the hell are we waiting for is what I want to know. It should never have been criminalized.

Yes and No, Marijuana should be legalized in the sense of medical purposes, in the early years marijuana was actually used as a treatment for things such as colds, the flu, etc..as it actually killed the virus/bacteria that caused the sickness. No as modern day technology has brought us less lethal medical drugs to take to rid of these sicknesses, and people abuse the drug with illegal smoking to get that "high" feeling.

Yes I sure do if other more harder drugs and tobacco can be legalized they can legalize marijuanna, sorry but if they want to stop it at this point I think it is imperative to legalize it all and take the hidden illusion off of it. Otherwise they better keep getting the drug companies and others who push the hard drugs is what I think? Can't stop it unless you can slow the cartels down.

No, it should not be legalized. It is one of those drugs
that's unnecessary to smoke; it can alter the brain and
how you think (and that's definitely not good); it is an
addicting substance; and it usually leads to stronger
type drugs which are even worse. We made a huge
mistake by legalizing liquor and now it's in every drug
and grocery store, every restaurant, every gambling
casino, and every bar...... and people die every day as a
result of using liquor (either overdose, alcoholic, or
drunk drivers). Look how it all turned out. We don't need
to make the same mistake of legalization twice.
