I mean seriously...how should WE know? We're not around the person, we have never met the person, and it's WRONG to ASSUME anything about ANYONE just because they may exhibit some stereotypical signs associated with a particular group, class, or anything else. If you want to know, why don't you just ask them? AND..if they say "no", BELIEVE them.
There's really nothing I hate more is when people ASK me if I'm gay, and I tell them "no" and then they're like "Are you sure?" well..who would know better than me? And if YOU'RE so "sure", then why did you even ask in the first damn place?
Also..why do you even NEED to know? It's my opinion that unless I'm sleeping with you, or you're paying my bills or something, my private life is none of your concern. So...could you please stop asking this question?

Do people really ask that question? It's just like the 'Should i go out with this guy/girl' questions. Completely pointless. How bizarre are these people to ask random strangers for input into their private lives. Oh well, people will be people. And i can say that we're all weird. (I pride myself on being weird. :P)

I like your question, it would be awesome if they would stop. I personally love gay peoples they are awesome and most are not afraid to speak there minds and stand up for what they believe in, which is awesome. People that just meet me always look at me wrong or as if they are bewildered and i love it some of them have the courage to ask me if i am gay. I tell them no and it stumps them because i am not i am bi. We also have to keep in mind that this is an answer site.

I agree, although it is at least a good deal less annoying than the constant vandalism of the Wikipedia articles on "homosexuality" and "gay":

Writing "[insert name] is gay" at the beginning or end of the article is, these people are apparently surprised to learn, not original or hilarious.

The actual point IS,...and I don't think "they" realize this...... if they were actually gay, beside the astronomical odds against us knowing, WE WOULDN'T TELL!!

Unless we happen to know someone personally AND happen to know that 1) they are gay and 2) they are "Out", LGBT in general don't just randomly "Out" people. It's rude, It's an invasion of privacy and It's nobody else's business.

Agreed. But then we might lose the half the questions that are the easiest to answer on this board lol. No I seriously agree, if they're gay, so what?

That would be lovely. Unfortunately it probably won't stop them. I am just confused by why straight women are usually asking about Vin Diesel. In my fantasies maybe, but yes no one except his friends/family would know for sure.

And I won't ask but state this: I think Jonah may be gay. :) Scandalous!

(Edit for Jonah: Which half? LOL jk)

I second that and if we choose to not answer their questions we will probably stop getting those questions then again if people looking up resolved questions they might get some of the answers we have had to say over and over and over again with no end but hey if it wasant for us fabulous ay people they would have little to talk about to bein with
