It wasn't a moral issue with him. He thought he was in a movie.

Like the current administration, I believe that the Reagan bunch may have convinced themselvess that what they were doing was acceptable as long as the ends justified the means. While I do think that there are many, many people who are just plain greedy, venal and self-serving masquerading as public servants, I also think that many people who have such a personal vested interest in their viewpoints being right that they can not even consider the possibility that they are not right. Therefore, they can convince themselve that they are morally right because their cause is right.
I believe that most of the Reagan people believed that there actions and policies were morally right. Unfortunately, the ones who were just in it for the money are the same who are pulling the strings in the Bush admin. The Cheneys and Rumsfelds have been a part of things for years, and they have learned the best ways to funnel money to their corporate sponsors.

I doubt Ronald Reagan had anything remotely close to morals by the time his soul was packaged and sold to the republicans.
One has to remember that Reagan's only real qualification for holding office was that he could lie with a straight face. Let's hope he's the last bad actor we ever have to suffer with in public office.

Reagan actually delegated that little task to a nice guy named Ollie, so he wasn't actually running guns. And, no, the politician who's 'morals' might get in the way never makes it past the primary.

His morals may have gotten him shot.
His vice president's son, not the current president, but his brother Neil, was to have dinner with John Hinkley's brother the day following the assassination attempt.
Allegedly about the coal deposits in the Rockies, but there's a lot that's alleged about the Bush family, isn't there.

Sorry, I don’t know the answer to this question. I did some quick research but I came up with nothing. Good luck finding a solution. I wish I could have helped.
