Remember, it only takes one, just one, to make the phenomenon a reality.
Are all of these fakes? What is your proof? What about the thousands of witnesses who didn't have a camera? Are they all lying?

Of course the photos do not compare to the thousands of witnesses. How about the military pilots, or the government officials, such as the Governor of Arizona. How about the hundreds of people who see the exact same thing at the same time. Debunkers, I guess they are all crazy, right?

As for cell phone cameras, they are a recent phenomenon. These photos were taken from 1953-2007 (54 years). Most of these pictures were taken well before cell phone cameras became common 2006-2007 (2 years). Cell phone cameras also did not until recently have zoom or dim light exposure. Give them time, they will show UFOs. That does not discount the rest of the sightings and witnesses. You'll have to try another arguement.

Great..find me a flying saucer...what if they never land...does that mean the do not exist? What if their mission is surveillance and not contact? So only those who desire contact are real, is that what you are saying?
Did you look at the photos from the 60s, 50s and 40s before photoshop or personal computers even existed? Are they also fake?

Thank you for responding. In your opinion then, all 286 photos are of terrestrial objects thrown into the air.
A few are just aboe the tree line, this is true, but most appear to be fairly high in the air, much higher than anyone could throw. None of the photos have a universal focus, where everything is in focus no matter what the distance. Therfore size can be determined realtive to distance. In most photos, only distant objects appear to be in focus, thus being to large to be "hurled".

I do see your point that you cannot prove a negative. However, with enough corroberating evidence, I think the issue can be considered a legitimate phenomenon. With enough eyewitnesses, commercial pilots, military pilots, gov't officials, videos, photos and such, we can say UFO sightings are real. What they are, I will agree with you, we don't yet know.

I don't think you can look at one photo, say it is a hubcap and then discard the other 285. I'd say manyof the photos are not real. But if just one of these 286 UFO photos is real, what could that mean to all of us?

Tim C:
Thanks for taking a more critical look at the subject. I was a skeptic too. My roommate in college said he saw a UFO and I thought he was crazy. I said several people saw it and I still didn't believe him. He called his brother who said the same thing to me and I didn't believe it. Looking it at a case by case basis, every UFO can be discounted. However, when I considered all the witnesses, all the photos taken around the world as a whole, and realize it just takes one...my viewpoint changed. The former Arizona Governor Fyfe Simington just was on ABC News in March saying he saw a huge mile long craft 10 years ago that he described as not of this Earth. Why would a public figure risk ridicule?

i am a skeptic, but i also would like to know the truth.many can be explained as fakes, or hallucinations or some such explanation. but so many others....
i look at the pictures and wonder. if even one is true. i would like more information honestly. i mean some can be explained away, but not all.
i wish that there would be more study into this kind of thing. if it happens enough it should be studied. everyone cannot be wrong
on the other hand why haven't they announced themselves? how come they choose such unreliable witnesses? why don't they land in front of a world leader and say "here we are"
i would like to see actual pictures of aliens, and in all truth i cannot say that i believe completely until i see it with my own eyes.
these pics do help though, thank you for the site.

The human mind is very easy to bend and shape.
If we can make games and movies usuing CDI that look almost life-like, imagine how easy it is just to doctor up a photograph to make it look like there's a floating shiny thing in the sky.
And yes, it is possible that thousands upon thousands of people can lie. If everyone around a person only tells them that something is one way and nothing else, do you think they are very likely to believe anything else or formulate their own theories with no outside influences?
Just look at the majority of religions. Most religions have brainwashed millions of people into believing things that they have no solid proof for, so why isn't it possible that people are lying about all of this so called 'photographic evidence'. They are lying because they have been told themselves thousands of times "this photo is real and therefore provides solid evidence of so called 'UFO's' "
You can tell the same lie a thousand times, but it never gets any more true.
Those photos are no more evidence than a fairy tale is fact.
ADDITIONS:
In response to what you said about the 40's and 50's. Yes they faked those too. I watched a national geographic show on it, and when you're using such an old camera with such crappy resolution and no color, it's not hard to make a pie dish on string look like something in the sky.
Also, about the discs being too high for someone to throw. If you take a small disc and dangle it on a string and you take the photo just right, it can look high up in the air. Remeber, if they are fake, which is most likely, the photo-shooters have many chances to make the photo as realistic looking as possible.
And your mind is a prime example of how easy it is to change someone's oppinions. You were a skeptic but, since many people around you told you that they've seen these things and they think they are real, you began to wander, and your mind decided that since many other people think it's true, well, then it must be true! 10000 people can't be wrong, right? Wrong. All 7 billion people on the earth could tell a lie and treat it as fact, but would that really make it a fact?
Thank you for such an interesting debate. I'm kinda having fun with it. :)

Yep, they are crazy. Or were asleep, or just waking up, or hallucinating, or were convinced that this happened after the fact by a crazy shrink. Whatever way it happened, they were wrong.
Photo #1: Quite obviously a frisbee.
#2: I could make that for your in two hours with some LEDs. On a small scale and nearby, it would look like far away and big. But if it could so easily be faked, there's no reason to think it wasn't.
#3: Big silver pillow thrown in the air.
#4: Too far away and fuzzy to draw any conclusions.
#5: No scale provided.
#6: Dinner plate.
#7: ??? It's wayyyy too blurry to make out anything here.
#8: And that's when the page crashed. Sorry, if that's the best you have to offer, you really should just admit you don't have anything at all.
Remember, since we have absolutely no evidence for alien visitation, I don't have to prove all these photos fakes or mistakes. You have to provide some actual evidence for your side. Other than easily faked or photoshopped evidence. Find me a flying saucer, and we'll talk.

In one sense, you are correct. U.F.O. stands for Unidentified Flying Object. In every picture, the flying object remains unidentified, therefore, every picture is a picture of a UFO. But, that's because the operative word in UFO is "unidentified".
You really wanted to ask us to prove that all 286 photos are photos of ordinary objects and NOT photos of spacecraft from other worlds. However, that's not good science.
It is you who are making a claim, to wit, that at least one of the photos is a photo of an alien spacecraft. In science, it is the person who postulates or theorizes that must offer proof. The reason for this is quite simple. NO ONE CAN PROVE A NEGATIVE.
Let me offer an example.
It is my theory that photo number three is really a photograph of a "baby moon" hubcap hurled through the air like a frisbee by someone on the ground. As proof, I offer the following.
1) The object in the photo has the same proportions as a "baby moon" hubcap.
2) The angle of attack of the object in the photo is consistent with an object hurled skyward from the ground.
3) There is nothing in the photo to indicate the scale of the flying object.
4) Because of the previous three points, you cannot prove that it is NOT a "baby moon" hubcap.
This is an awful proof. The fact that my theory cannot be disproved is not proof of my theory. The best I can say is that I have shown that it MIGHT BE a "baby moon" hubcap. (And, I have done so with more evidence than anyone who suggests that it is an alien spacecraft.)
Finally, to return to your assertion ...
The fact that no one can disprove that at least one photo contains an alien spacecraft DOES NOT prove that any of them DO contain an alien spacecraft.

There are far too many credible witnesses AND photos to totally discount the UFO phenomenon. However, acknowledging that something is obviously going on does not prove anything about *what* UFOs are.

It is so easy to fake these things. We need physical proof not a photo to make it credible. How about other shots from cell phones at other angles. I'm sure the area was crowded as it usually is.
