Yes, it is a sad truth. I'm sure just about everyone has been in a situation where they take someone else for granted. It isn't until they are gone that we realize the positives about them. It teaches us a hard lesson though and, hopefully, we won't fall into that trap again.

I've learned that time gets shorter every year and there's no point to wasting or dwelling because humans have short lifespans. The older you get, the more this makes sense.
