Yes I think so.Take our Galaxy, the milky way.Think of it as a pea.Place it on one of your fingers.Your hand represents another Galaxy. That is how small the milky way is.Now take the thousands of other known Galaxy's.Also the thousands[or millions]that haven't been discovered yet.Someplace, somewhere there is life.We humans would have to consider ourselves a bunch of pompous asses to think other wise.

I believe someone from another place is wondering the same thing. I don't know whther your an evolution or Christian, so I'llg o from both views. Christian: God made SO much space and planets and stars, think of all the details he put into Earth, I mean....nuetrons, electrons, all the way to the combination of cells to produce GIANT animals such as elephants and mountains, why would he stop there? I believe since he has such a large imigination and love for creatures, that he continued! Evolution: If so much was evolved out there...why would only one planet produce life? I mean...that's like only .0000000000000000000099% of the universe contains life, if even that much! SO either way, yes, I belive there is life other then us out there. Also, people say its not possible because lack of oxygen. 1- On another galaxy you dont know if there oxygen or not 2- Not "all" living things need oxygen, plants for example. 3-If plants can use carbon dioxide, can't other life use different resources, maybe another galaxy and plantet has a whole different periodic table?

There has to be......and I think that our government already has proof of this.......some of the new types of material that the scientists "invent" are probably copied from materials that the government has confiscated from other life forms that have visited our planet.....take carbon fiber for example, or the metal that the supersonic jets skin is made out of. If you look at those super fast planes while stationary, you will see that the metal is cracked. this allows for expansion of the metal when the plane heats up due to the friction of the air going past the wings/body of the plane so fast.......these are examples of technology that i beleive have come from other life forms.......not to say that humans aren't smart enough to come up with ideas like that.....think about how long we humans have been in existence, and how long we were primitive......then think about how short of a time period we have been flying, and how much we have progressed since then........it seems to me that if it was so easy to invent all the new types of technology so fast, why didn't it happen earlier......plus the universe is so big, that it would jut be ignorant of us not to believe that "something" else is out there........i kind of hope there is, and i get to see it before i die!!!

Well, if you take into account that as far as we know, the universe is endless, then it would be selfish to think that out of all the planets and all the stars and all the solar systems, earth is the only planet in an INFINITE universe that sustains life. Although, it could be possible. but its highly likely that there are other life forms out thereb

Yes, actually there is life in our Solar System. Europa a moon around Jupiter, I feel, will have life. As you say, it may be just microorganisms or may actually be a type of Aquatic Life/Fish.

Yes, although unlikely as advanced as us. Intelligence seems to be some kind of weird evolutionary aspect that should have never even happened. Out of Millions and millions of species, we are the only one that has the ability to rationalize and think.

The universe is so big, how can we be the only ones? It seems like there would be similar planets with similar atmospheres, etc. I really think there is life somewhere else! I would love to know in my lifetime, and to see what they look like!

Somewhere in the universe? Yes. I think that there is life somewhere in the universe. (besides Earth)
note: universe is not to be confused with planet, solar system, or galaxy.

No, I've never believed in aliens. Since as young as I can remember I always thought they were 'fake'. No-one drilled it into me, I just never thought they exist.

Sure. I feel it would be horribly arrogant to think humans are the only (and smartest) race.
