What are your favorite things about London?
And what things about it could you go without?

I live in London and (sorry about the first answerer) but I could do very well without Harrods the temple of consumerism. The most beautiful thing about London are the parks that make London unique in the world in this respect. There are 116 parks in London. Kensington park alone that is right in the middle of the city and nearest to me is about seven kilo meters long. What I dislike is the difficulty in making friends due to the obsession with privacy of the English people. Another thing that I like is the fact that you can dress as you like and nobody takes much notice of it, unlike Italy my country that is totally the reverse.

I rate the museums first along with the people who were so helpful.
The English breakfast was excellent; historic buildings and places to see were wonderful.
I loved the plays, the bookshops and the famous squares,
and parks.
And the city is a very good place from which to take side trips or witrhin which to visit shops.
The only things I did not like were the weather and the very high prices for hotels and goods purchased. So stay outside London somewhere and come in on a bus, etc., or rent a car.
