The windsheild wash does not work on our car anymore, and I would like to try and fix it as a surprise for the car owner. I heard its hould only be easy to fix, but not sure how to go about it. I think it is just the tube to the washer "holder" that is broke, and maybe need a new pump I belive I was told. Any information on how to get started, and how to go about doing it, and where to find the items needed would be great. Thanks so much.

YEAR, MAKE, MODEL, would help. Anyway, ck. the hole , if OK ,ck. for power at washer motor wires one Pos., one Neg, If you have help , see if you can hear the motor running, if that,s OK, the nozzles may be clogged. Remove the hose from the washer motor and blow air BACKWARDS through the nozzles. Best I can do with info provided.

Could be as simple as reconnecting a hose that came off...check for that first. If you hit the washer switch and don't hear the pump working, it could be a bad switch, pump, fuse or wiring problem. Check the fuse first, if good, check for power at the pump when you hit the switch, if no power, replace switch...if power ok, replace the pump but make sure to check for any bad ground first. And sometimes the nozzles get plugged up with dirt...try poking a needle in the washer nozzle hole if everything else is ok. Paul

Start bye checking the fuse to see if you have power.
if so check for power at the washer mototer .
It will have 2 wires one power the other ground.
if you have power and a good ground you pump is bad .
Or you have a block in the line .
Or at the suckion end of the pump is pluged.
Have seen lots get pluged bye the thin plastic from washer jugs caps .
It falls in when they fill up the washer jug.
