I need to find the coordinates of B. How do I go about doing that and what answer do you come up with?

Find the coordinates of B(x,y). P is the midpoint of A and B. Therefore its coordinates are the average of A and B.

(-1 + x)/2 = 5
-1 + x = 10
x = 11

(10 + y)/2 = -6
10 + y = -12
y = -22

The point B is B(11, -22).

Okay, so for the midpoint P is the average value of the values for points A and B.. so you would find the coordinates of B by:

x value:
(-1 + x) / 2 = 5
Then solve for x:
-1 + x = 10
x = 11

y value:
(10 + y / 2) = -6
10 + y = 12
y = 2

So the coordinates of B are (11, 2).
