I WAS SENT A LETTER SAYING I HAD WON MONEY BUT HAVE TO CUSTOM FEES ON IT.

Contests on the internet are scams especially when required to pay Customs fees. The money you sent will be taken but no prize will arrive.

Scam scam scam. If you didn't enter any international contests , how could you be a winner. Have you not watched Oprah, Dr. Phil, most of the morning news shows, who have ALL done programs on this.

I send those things to spam and let yahoo deal with them. I've also reported similar scans tried out years ago to the fraud squad of our Ontario Provincial Police.

You should do that too, send them to spam or find a website for your local police or provinical and state police and tell them what you've been sent.

Many of these scams come from London using Nigerians as well as other nationalities. If it's looks too good to be true then it is. Don't let your own greed suck you in. You don't ever get something for nothing.

its known as the ADVANCE FEE scam, or lottery scam.

i get about a hundred of those a day (run a mail server, and you can end up with thousands).
