9/11 was a tragedy. But because of this isolated tragedy All Americans have lost a great deal of freedom and constitutional rights. I cannot believe that the people of this country are as hopelessly paranoid as of government makes us out to be. I just want to punch every TSA person I see frisking an elder person, why? I think they should all wear swastikas on their arms. Yes I have my papers (passport) in order. I can't believe I am talking about AMERICA.

Actually not one single American has lost one single Freedom. How does a post 9-11 alert have anything to do with a police state.

1. 9-11 wasn't an isolated incident.
2. There actually are those that would bring death and destruction to impose their views on this nation.
3. I do, however, think that airport security would be much more efficient without the restrictions that the liberal left PC pansies have imposed on us.

Sadly, people do need to be searched before boarding an airplane. But that doesn't give the government the right to take away our civil rights, monitor our phone calls without cause and without any judicial oversight, hold people in jail without a lawyer, without charges and torture them. The only way we will get our civil right back is for everyone who disagrees to write a letter to their Senator and Congressman in D.C. As long as we do nothing, Bush will destroy more and more of our country.

Ever talk to any service personnel that deal with intelligence? They can't say much, but they can tell you the threats are real. The reason things are so quiet on the homefront is because we have military & civilians doing their jobs, around the clock.

I guess you have truly forgotten what really happened on that day. So you have to arrive a little early and are made to go through a little more screening, I"m willing to put up with that so it doesn't happen again.

Ok, let's let the guard down for all flights that you take. See how you like a terrorist hijacking your plane.
