I would recommend the nvidia 8500 or 8600 line of Direct X10 cards:

It depends what slot will fit your motherboard. Either AGP or PCI-E.
Ill find you the best card for each slot in your price range....

PCI-Express: eVGA GeForce 8600GT $184 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130088
Hopefully you have a PCI-E slot because its the new technology and you can get a much nastier card for cheaper, as you can see. The 8600GT is a DirectX 10 capable card. (The future of PC games).
