He wants David as the middle name as that is my partners name.. and the men in their family have their name as their sons middle name.. so David is stuck in there :-)

To me..........this name is very classy. It is very original, I have never heard of this name. Your son will be unique, why not his name? Your partner does a good job at naming babies :) I wish both of you Good Luck with your new little life. Blessings !!!!!

Well, part of me likes the first name because it is unusual. However, the other part of me doesn't like it b/c it sounds like the word "talon" (as in an eagle or hawk), and I'm not sure how to pronounce it. That is probably a problem that your child will face all his life if you choose that first name. David is a nice name, but it is common. Best wishes!

David is a good, strong name, but Talan? It doesn't sound that great to me. How about:

TARRAN DAVID
THURSTON DAVID
THURMOND DAVID
TRENTON DAVID
THERON DAVID
TORIN DAVID
I think Talan as a name is too close to the actual word, talon, which denotes a claw of some sort. The image is not that great! I'd reconsider! Good luck!

There weren't any that he loved and I hated (in fact, he chose the majority of the kids' names). The situation was reversed though. I found out that our second child was a girl while he was away with the military. I had to wait quite awhile before I could speak to him, so during that time of waiting, I came up with names on my own. I fell in love with "Bethany Kaye". I thought it was so sweet and old-fashioned and she would have had the same initials as my husband. When I was about 6 months along, I FINALLY got to talk to him and tell him my idea for names....... he hated it. I tried to persuade him, but he never did like it. So we went with Alyssa Marie instead. lol
