there is no code that makes a picture "stretch to fit" - i might be able to help, if you use windows/ microsoft

however, what most people do, is since most people use a 800 X 600 resolution, you could make your picture that size (or the next size up) possibly by using the stretch utility in MS Paint

open the picture in MS Paint, the hold in CTRL and push E - this will give you the size of the picture

if it's 150 X 100 and you want to get to 800 X 600, go to "edit > stretch image and then horizontal and vertical by math. ( "desired size" / (divided by) "actual size" X 100) = %

do both horizontal and vertical at the same time

now, save that picture on a photobucket.com account (or similar) and grab the address they provide when you upload the new 800 X 600 picture and put it where i say "www.picture" below (but keep the parenthesis)

body { background: url("www.picture") no-repeat fixed center;}
