Rather didn't lie about Bush. He just couldn't prove it because Bush had his daddy clean up his past. Which has nothing to do with Couric. She would suck either way as a news anchor.

Dan did lie about Bush, this was proven and acknowedged, you'll note that spelled the end of Mr. Blather and several others.
Couric is a commited leftist as well, but it is just far more apparent with her. You'd think libs would learn something after Air America's failure, having America hating newsreaders who have to be photoshoped down a few dress sizes is not the way to garner ratings.

I used to like Katie Couric a while ago, but not anymore. First, she left a good job as co-host of the "Today" show to anchor a network nighttime news show (who still relies on the 6:30 network news?) Then, she remarked that nightly network news should be expanded to a whole hour. Why? I imagine to boost her own salary!

I have to respectfully disagree. I think watching and listen to either is a rather bland but maddening experience. Normally I would see Couric as a beautiful woman but she talks and that ruins everything. (the kinder gentler me)
