This is a trivia question i have to answer for a contest. I belive they went to their last world series in 1945. They won their last world series in 1908. So, who was the cubs manager in 1945?

Frank Chance was the manager when they won the World Series in 1908 and Charlie Grimm was the manager in 1945 when they lost to the Detroit Tigers.

Frank Chance was the last World Series winning manager for the Cubs, in 1908 (and 1907 too). Wow....
The last one to take them there was Charlie Grimm in 1945.
