Well there's the cutting up part, the frying part and then of course the taste test after the barbecue is finished. A toxicology report tests the blood for poisons, illegal drugs or any abnormalities. It consists of a CBC, and a chem panel, and a enzyme test. CBC is complete blood count, a chem panel tests for any chemicals found in the blood, to include alcohol, and illegal drugs, if the drugs have pretty much gone, the enzyme test may come back abnormal showing what type of chemicals, drugs, or poison was ingested.

first, physical characteristics (such as obesity, edema, etc.) are noted via recorder. then the body is looked over for any wounds, bruises, puncture marks, etc. then the mouth, ears, eyes are looked at. then it's time for the y-incision. once the body cavity is opened up, blood for blood culture and toxicology are collected via sterile methods. sometimes other organs have bacterial cultures done as well. then there's the slicing and dicing. each organ is observed for visual abnormalities and weighed. sections of each organ are removed for histological examination (i.e. microscopic exam after slicing with a microtome followed by various staining procedures in the histology department). if warranted, the brain will be removed for observation also. then the anatomic reports are typed up and sent out, followed by histological, bacterial, and toxicological results.
